In the Beginning
Every household has a need for quality linen and many people aspire to work their own hours and be their own boss. The Ryan family identified those needs and worked toward the goal of bringing the two together. They set about building a party plan business (initially in their back yard garage) that provided value for money for the customer and created a marketing mechanism for all participants to share in the financial rewards.
25 Years of Success
Established in 1985 by the late Peter Ryan with his wife Heather, linen and manchester was chosen as the company's product because it's a commodity that every home needs and is used by everybody, everyday. Lorraine Lea's extensive product range - bedding, towels, tableware, household accessories and nursery products - combines classic designs with the latest fashion trends, with something to suit every room of the home and prices to suit every budget.
The company was incorporated in 1986. Since that time, Lorraine Lea Linen has grown to a large team of Consultants and Managers holding linen parties in all states and territories of Australia and since May 2005, in New Zealand. The company is now headed by Peter's son, Adrian Ryan, and is housed in a multi-million dollar administration and warehouse facility in Scoresby, on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia.
